What Do I Do Now?
Okay, so you've set your interest levels for our long list of interests and activities. Now what?
The next step is up to you. Here are a few suggestions.
- Family Activities: If other members of your family have joined the site, you can use it to choose family activities. Have everyone set and confirm parent/child and spouse connections on the Privacy Settings page. Then, do a search with the "match my family" option, and pick something fun from the list that a lot of your family members enjoy.
- Start a Group Activity: You don't have to wait for someone else to plan something. Do a search and find an activity that several people enjoy. Then ask one of them if they'd be interested in getting a group together. Once you've found one person who's interested, split up the list and keep contacting the others till you have enough people.
- Ministering Assignments: If those you've been assigned to minister to have indicated that you are their ministering brother or sister, you will be able to find interests shared by them, you, and members of your family. You can use this information to take an interest in their lives, and to develop relationships where ministering will be enjoyable and natural. (If you'd like your ministering brothers or sisters to be able to do this, be sure to individually grant them access to your interests, and check the box to indicate that they are your ministering brother/sister.)
- Plan a Church Activity: If you need to plan an activity for your calling, do a search and find something that the members of your class share an interest in, and take it from there.
- Get investigators and other non-member friends involved: Find out what they're interested in, and use this website to find other members for them to connect with. Feel free to invite your friends to join the site themselves and use it just like a ward member would.
